This is a component tutorial for eames lounge chair and ottoman. The chair and the footstool are divided into 5 parts, the chair part is the back, cushion and armrests, and the footstool is divided into the cushion and the base.
1. Install the back of the chair on the cushion
Lean the back of the chair on the cushion, adjust the bushing so that it is aligned with the steel plate and tighten the screws. Tighten the screws inside the chair.
2. Assemble the armrest part
First, please turn the chair upside down and make sure the chair is placed on the carpet or blanket to prevent scratching the wooden veneer. Adjust the armrest appropriately to align the bushing with the screw hole. Use the hexagonal wrench provided in the box to tighten the screws.
Restore the chair to the front, and then adjust the armrests accordingly so that the screws can be screwed to the steel plate.
If possible, use an Allen key to align the hole with the bushing so that the screw can jam the bushing.
Use an Allen wrench to tighten the screws, but be careful not to scratch the wooden veneer.
At this point, you’re done. It is much simpler to set up the footstool, just insert the metal rod into the footstool, and then connect the cushion to the footstool.
Now that everything is complete, how does it feel to assemble the furniture yourself? In fact, every product we produce contains an installation manual. We strongly recommend that you read the manual before installing it after receiving the product. If there is anything else you don’t understand, please email us.
In addition, we recommend that you install some felt pads under the pulleys to avoid scratching the floor. If the floor is uneven, you can adjust the pulley. We also recommend that you clean and condition leather and wood regularly.
